Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior- Executive Director, Clinical Operations to oversee and lead the execution of our clinical trials. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end study execution and ensuring all milestones, timelines and regulatory requirements are met as it relates to each program.
Reporting to the Head of R&D, this is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, build-as-you-go environment. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in early and midphase clinical trials of small molecules and/or biologics and is energized by working alongside experienced scientific leadership to bring innovative therapies to patients. Experience in oversight of clinical trials of therapeutics in dermatology, rheumatology, and respiratory disease is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Execution:
- Define and implement clinical operations strategies for multiple immunology & inflammation (I&I) programs, starting with Recludix’s breakthrough STAT6 inhibitor.
- Creative problem solving in a fast moving, dynamic cross functional team environment
- Able to recognize need(s), find solutions and take initiative to address in proactive manner.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage resourcing strategies to enable clinical program needs within budget.
Vendor Oversight:
- Manage immunology-specialized CROs and external partners to ensure quality, GCP compliance, and timely execution of trials leveraging Recludix’s differentiated chemical matter
- Strong organizational skillset with attention to detail in order to manage multiple complex workstreams and prioritize work according to corporate goals
Compliance & Quality:
- Ensure adherence to ICH/GCP, FDA regulations, and internal SOPs for immunology therapeutics, with focus on safety monitoring for novel advantages with our programs
- Responsible for contributing to NDA and other regulatory filings and correspondence
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Biometrics, CMC, Medical Affairs and the senior leadership team to align objectives and effectively execute on portfolio objectives
- Highly collaborative with outstanding communication, time management and facilitation skills
- Strong team player with demonstrated track record of success in a cross-functional team and fast-moving environment.
- Flexibility for collaboration across multiple time zones
Qualifications:
- 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech specifically in immunology and inflammatory diseases, with proven leadership running clinical trials through Phase 1 and 2
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD) preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, GCP, and clinical trial design.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and strategic alliances.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, bi-coastal, matrixed organization.
- This position may require up to 25% domestic travel and limited international travel
Further Information:
Salary range: $250,000 – $315,000
